MyDisney

MyDisney was an ambitious physical and digital rewards companion for all of your touchpoints across Disney. From Disney+, Disney Parks, all the way through the Intergalactic Starcruiser adventure. During my tenure at Disney, we prototyped everything from how we might create new interactions to drive theme park rides to how to celebrate your affinity at social events, and even how your digital avatar might have adventures along side you while at Disney Parks.

My Roles:

Lead Designer. Avatar and 3D rewards, User Research, On-boarding Metrics, Interaction Design, and Wireframe / high fidelity prototyping.


Interaction Exploration

Exploration of the different interaction designs for various real-time 3D rewards. These rewards were game-like in concept, with more features added over time.

Increasing Fidelity

Some of the first explorations into showing the user how to earn a particular reward: quests, with details.

Some explorations on how we might create a social event with a veiled unlocking of exclusive features to members.

More explorations on how rewards might look, some more hidden than others, seeking to find the balance between mystery and anticipation.

Here we are seeing the cart flow for a reward that is an invitation to acquire an exclusive sneaker drop.

Increasing Fidelity

Exploring diversity and themes of expressions against any particular fandom, Marvel and Star Wars.Some rewards were tied to your affinity, so if you were a Star Wars fan, you could dress your avatar in an attire to help you blend into that world. These avatars were designed to be a little more mature than the typical cartoon / heavily stylized avatars we’re used to seeing.
